Day 4

Day 4

Made To Last Forever

You know the expression: “Wait for it... Wait for it...” It's used when you know something that you need to pay attention to is coming, so you’d better not look away. That should be our expectation every time we open God's word. The reference in today's chapter alludes to the difference between our earthly bodies as temporary tents, and our heavenly bodies as permanent houses. That delivered my “wait for it” moment. The reference is 2 Corinthians 5:1, but the revelation is that “heavenly “mansion” I've envisioned since childhood, will be the one that God has prepared for me to wear for eternity! What an amazing concept. There are countless mysteries to be unpacked and unfolded from within God's word. As we draw closer to him, it's almost as if we can hear him call to us from the pages of scripture, “Come here, let me show you another wonder!” I can't tell you any way to fall more in love with God than to spend time with him in His Word. But when you do - Wow! What love!
