2 Corinthians

1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and Timothy our brother,
To the church of God which is at Corinth with all the saints who are throughout Achaia:
2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

1 But I determined this for my own sake, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.
2 For if I cause you sorrow, who then makes me glad but the one whom I made sorrowful?

1 Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, as some, letters of commendation to you or from you?

1 Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we received mercy, we do not lose heart,
2 but we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but by the manifestation of truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.
